Clinician – Therapeutic Campus-Based Care Services

Wood’s Homes is a multi-service, nationally accredited non-profit children’s mental health centre based in Calgary. Today we have over 500 employees and provide more than 40 programs for 28,000 children and their families each year in Calgary, Lethbridge, Strathmore, and Fort McMurray.

Commitment to high-risk adolescents, challenged with some very tough issues, is not easy. These are the times when our frontline workers spring into action. The type of work we do requires quick thinking, confidence, forgiveness and persistence.

We are currently seeking 1 Clinician to work in Therapeutic Campus-Based Care (TCBC). Our Therapeutic Campus-Based Care programs are comprised of 24/7 intensive mental health services provided by a comprehensive inter-professional team.

The clinician is responsible for the development and provision of quality clinical services to the clients and programs of Wood’s Homes. The successful candidate will provide a wide variety of therapeutic services to clients and families in a challenging and fast-paced atmosphere.


RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
  • Performs assessments and intervention of children/youth/families as assigned. Provides a written report with recommendations and strategies.
  • Works as a part of a team within a fast paced collaborative service to manage child protection risk and intervention.
  • Provides clinical consultation/training and support to staff, practicum students, community professionals and other trainees, as requested.
  • Provides aftercare support and clinical leadership.
  • Actively communicates with community resources regarding Wood’s Homes clientele and programs.
  • Supports other agency initiatives as requested.
  • Participates in research and other specialized projects, as assigned.


  • Masters or Ph.D. Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Family Nursing, or a related field.
  • Is currently registered/has membership in the appropriate professional association/with the appropriate regulatory body.
  • Is licensed in accordance with the Health Professions Act and provides services in accordance with professional standards, guidelines and ethic
  • Able to complete written documentation within established time frame
  • Must have own transportation.
  • Personal suitability is important.
