CityU’s Effective Interviewing Workshop: Nov 15, 6:00pm

Preparing for your job interview could very well be one of the most important moments of your career. Landing the perfect job can be a challenge, but with the determination and passion you will need to begin a successful career, you can easily overcome this challenge, and bring a lot of valuable experience with you to the next interview if you don’t get the job.

Just a little preparation and thought ahead of time can have wondrous effects on your interviewing skills. This workshop will go over the issues and provide an in-depth analysis of the interviewing process. With some independent practice, this workshop can help you prepare successfully for any job interview!

Topics will include:

·       Behavioral and situational interviews

·       Preparation tips and tools

About the presenter:

Christine Sjolander has recently been named Vice President, Canadian Operations. With more than 20 years experience in post-secondary education, prior to joining City University in Canada, she served as the Executive Director of the Graduate Career Management Centre and Employer Engagement for Simon Fraser University’s Beedie School of Business.  Christine has more than 20 years experience working with adults in career transition and has helped thousands of individuals achieve their career goals.   Christine holds a Doctorate in Education, Higher Education Leadership from SFU and a Masters of Science in Engineering and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Alfred University.  In addition to her work at City University, Christine is a Certified Career Development Practitioner who provides one-on-one career coaching to executives in transition and executive search services for local companies.
