Since 2019, I have had the privilege of teaching part-time in the Master of Counselling program at City U Vancouver. I am a Registered Psychologist, clinical consultant, and social justice advocate. My career has focused on working with young people involved in child protection, criminal justice, and mental health systems. I have also worked alongside BC First Nations communities, exploring how the integration of traditional healing methods and Western approaches can meet the best interests of clients and community. Building culturally sensitive counselling skills, through self-reflection and education, is a passion of mine.
My dissertation involved community-based research conducted in collaboration with the Squamish Nation community and explored themes of healing after the loss of a loved one to suicide.
