MEd in School Counselling

Program Details

The MEd in School Counselling Program is designed to help students develop the knowledge, skills, and values essential for school counselling, as well as child/adolescent counselling in non-school settings. The program offers in-person or online synchronous format on 7-8 Saturdays each 3-month period (October to June), with a 2-week summer intensive in July, providing students the flexibility to continue working while completing their degree.

Potential Career Opportunities

Our graduates train to become school or district counsellors. Some opt to pursue careers as child and youth counsellors in community settings, with the eventual goal of establishing a private practice.

Our faculty bring their expertise as school counsellors, clinical counsellors, and social workers to inform curriculum development and foster a collaborative environment where the exchange of knowledge is valued. This enables practitioners to learn from each other, creating a dynamic and supportive learning community.
