Our Bachelor of Arts in Management degree (BAM) degree with a Specialized Study emphasis in Socially and Environmentally Responsible Management is designed for rapidly changing 21st Century workplace demands requiring a fresh approach, new awareness and a different set of skills.

Social and environmental responsibility are not afterthoughts for the business leaders of today. This is why these critical responsibilities are at the core of the BAM. Caring for the environment and building healthy communities are not extras for the leaders of tomorrow. This is why they are at the centre of the BAM. We believe knowing what to do on Monday morning is not something to learn after graduation, it is something to learn now. That is why CityU instructors are people who do the work of leading change, as well as thinking, writing and presenting about change.

For over twenty years CityU in Canada has become increasingly recognized for its outstanding Master of Education and Master of Counselling degree programs and for the quality of its educational community- practitioner focused, relevant, social justice and diversity sensitive; a place where each and every student matters; an educational institution that measures its success by its students’ success; a university that embraces its responsibility to transform the social world. The BAM is a natural extension of this approach into the business world.

The Bachelor of Arts in Management degree program is specifically designed for anyone seeking a broad management background focusing on the organizational and human dimensions of the field. In this program you will learn the fundamentals of management—the basic knowledge and skills you need to succeed as a manager in your field. You will learn the basics of teaming, both as a leader and member. You will also improve your oral and written communication skills as well as learn important techniques required in project management and develop research skills that will provide a pathway to lifelong learning.

The BAM is designed for the students who have taken or are willing to take the first two years of their degree programs, including general education courses, at a recognized college or university. Many two year diploma programs will prepare students to enter the BAM.
