MC graduate, Tara Souch and Scott Lawrence, will be holding a Wilderness Guides Council gathering this May!
Meeting for the first time in Canada, on un-ceded Coast Salish territory, the Wilderness Guide Gathering Council invite you to co-create a space to renew hope, vision and love in these hard times. Participants will be offered the opportunity to meet with others in both new and old ways held on wild land as we sit in council, share stories, visions, and practices of our engagement with rites of passage and nature-based ceremony.
Message from Scott Lawrence:
“The Wilderness Guides Council has been meeting as an organization since 1988. While there have been international gatherings as well in Europe and South Africa, this is the first time we have gathered in Canada, so it will be a very special and historic coming together! The Gatherings consist of time together in council, inquiring with deep listening into the questions that are alive in these times; participating in a range of workshops related to rites of passage and other ceremonial work on the land; honouring the ancestors, our own and those of the place of gathering; holding each other and witnessing our deep grief for the planet and its people; and, celebrating with song, dance, and poetry the fact that we are all alive on this earth together now. “
“Journeying Toward Wild Natures Magic” will take place on May 13-18. This event is open to all those who are interested in spending time in nature, community, solo
wanderings and the wild magic all around us. You do not need to be a member to sign up!
Tara also has a private practice in Cumberland, B.C. Check out her website!
