CityU Empower Me Service

CityU in Canada is happy to partner with Studentcare — a leading provider of student health plans in Canada, serving over 1,000,000 students — to offer Empower Me, a Student Assistance Program designed to support mental health and well-being. This service is complimentary for all CityU Students. Effective April 1st, 2022.

What is Empower Me?

Empower Me is a confidential mental health and wellness service available 24/7, 365 days a year.

Empower Me is a Service that seeks to contribute to improved mental health and wellness in the student community by supporting on-campus resources.

It can connect you with a number of professionals with various domains of expertise.

No issue is too big or too small, and interactions are confidential. You can get support for issues of any kind, such as:

Who is eligible?

All current CityU students in Canada have access to the new Empower Me service.

How to access Empower Me

To access Empower Me, create an account on the Dialogue mobile app or on the web at

All sessions with Empower Me are offered virtually. However, in any case, you’ll always be directed to the best resource and assisted with booking an appointment for an in-person evaluation when required.

Who are the service providers?

Empower Me has several professionals with various domains of expertise, including mental health, family and relationships, career counselling, financial planning, and more, to support you and respond effectively to diverse needs.  

Connect with Empower Me

City U students are able to access support via the Dialogue mobile app and web platform only. The first time you connect, a professional will ask you some demographic questions and learn about the issue(s) you’re experiencing to plan a course of action with you.  

Empower Me is available to students temporarily located outside of Canada for a maximum of 90 days through the Dialogue mobile app or web platform at
