Youth Forensic Psychiatric Services provides in-patient and outpatient Court-ordered and Court-related assessment and treatment for young offenders pursuant to the Youth Criminal Justice Act; as well as services to young persons found unfit to stand trial or not criminally responsible due to mental disorder pursuant to the Criminal Code of Canada. Youth Forensic Psychiatric Services are provided through outpatient clinics and contracted service providers in various locations throughout the province and through one inpatient assessment unit. The Clinic Coordinator co-ordinates and supervises the administration of Youth Forensic Psychiatric Services programs for youth who have offended within the various clinics and catchment areas served by these clinics.
