As a Concurrent Disorder Counsellor with PHSA, you will have the opportunity join an inter-professional health care team, providing safe and effective counselling in order to help improve the well-being of individuals experiencing challenging co-occurring substance use and mental health concerns.
Concurrent Disorder Counsellors with PHSA work within BC Mental Health and Substance Use Services (BCMHSUS), which cares for people with complex mental health and substance use challenges. Opportunities exist within Correctional Health Services and the Forensic Psychiatric Hospital and regional clinics.
