This hands on workshop is designed to help you focus your resume on your accomplishments that will position you for where you want to go next. The cover letter is often the first impression that an employer has of you. Is yours a good one that is targeted and highlights the best of you, or is it all about what you want to tell the recruiter?

· Build great accomplishment statements
· Know what recruiters are looking for
· Know why you need to tailor your cover letter every time
· Understand what to focus on when writing your cover letters
About the presenter:
Christine Sjolander has recently been named Vice President, Canadian Operations. With more than 20 years experience in post-secondary education, prior to joining City University in Canada, she served as the Executive Director of the Graduate Career Management Centre and Employer Engagement for Simon Fraser University’s Beedie School of Business. Christine has more than 20 years experience working with adults in career transition and has helped thousands of individuals achieve their career goals. Christine holds a Doctorate in Education, Higher Education Leadership from SFU and a Masters of Science in Engineering and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Alfred University. In addition to her work at City University, Christine is a Certified Career Development Practitioner who provides one-on-one career coaching to executives in transition and executive search services for local companies.
