Carol Anne Haring, B.Ed., M.Ed.

Carol-Anne Haring has been involved in education for 40 years. Most of this time has been with the Red Deer Public School District, where she has been a teacher and a counsellor, as well as holding administrative roles such as learning assistant teacher, special education coordinator, department head, and curriculum leader. Carol-Anne also spent three years living in the Middle East where she not only set up a counsellor program, but also coached teachers working with special needs and learning disabled students. It was in the Middle East during 2003, where she first started her private practice, which she continues in Red Deer today.

Carol-Anne began her academic journey at the University of Calgary, where she completed her Bachelor of Education. She subsequently completed graduate work at the U of Alberta, as well as the University of Toronto, and University of Oregon; in these studies she concentrated on Counselling and Leadership. Carol-Anne has also engaged in additional studies at UBC, San Diego State, Loma Linda University, and Red Deer College. Always involved in professional development, Carol-Anne has also been actively involved in the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association and is registered as a Certified Canadian Counsellor through CCPA. Furthermore, Carol-Anne has used her skills and knowledge to supervise a number of counselors in their counseling practicums. When she is not involved in some sort of educational pursuit, you can always find Carol-Anne outdoors with her camera, travelling to other locations, playing with her springer spaniel, or enjoying her new grandson.
