Program Director of MC in Counselling (Victoria, BC)

As the Program Director for the Master of Counselling Program in Victoria, BC. I am responsible for overseeing the effective delivery of the MC program on Vancouver Island, supporting faculty, fostering teaching excellence, and providing students with an empowering learning environment. I have been working for City University since 2019 and have had previous roles that include Internship Coordinator and Capstone Coordinator.

Teaching

My teaching philosophy focuses on creating learning environments that integrate theory and scholarship with active practice. My teaching focuses on facilitating rich classroom discussions, self-reflection and experiential learning activities. Our adult learners at City University bring a rich diversity of cultural backgrounds, knowledge, personal and professional experiences to our program. I enjoy encouraging the growth of students in the journey of honing their unique strengths and contributions that they bring to the field of counselling.
