Hiroki currently works as a director at MerryBiz (merrybiz.co.jp), a B2B back office (accounting, payroll and etc.) professional service company that works with more than 1,000 professional talents all over the world, that he founded in 2011. He is a serial entrepreneur and has consulted many startups including Locondo and Slogan that have gone public in the Tokyo Stock Exchange. He has skills and experience not only in entrepreneurship but also in strategy, digital marketing, fundraising, and building organizations.
He is also the founder of Fintech Association of Japan (https://fintechjapan.org/en/), which holds more than 450 members with a combination of startups and financial institutions, and is now recognized by the government as representing the Japanese Fintech industry.
Before pursuing his entrepreneurship, Hiroki worked at CVA, a European boutique strategy consulting firm, consulting Fortune Global 500 companies in the financial, pharmaceutical, and manufacturing industries and IBM Japan as a project manager for international projects of MUFG Bank and JCB (international credit card brand).
Hiroki holds an INSEAD MBA graduate while receiving an INSEAD L’Oréal Scholarship, and an MSc degree in Mechanical and Environmental Informatics from the Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan.
