Professional Experience

My previous work experience as a Registered Psychologist has included the Sexual Assault Centre of Edmonton, Edmonton Public Schools and private practice. I specialize in working with children, youth and adults who have experienced simple and complex trauma, and supporting parents/caregivers in responding to behaviours associated with such experiences. The majority of individuals I work with have experienced various forms of abuse or adversity or are experiencing various difficulties in their lives (such as experiences of trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, suicidal ideation, and self-esteem).

Counselling Philosophy

Sometimes life has not provided us with what we need to grow into the best versions of ourselves and this is where therapy can help. I feel that there is a great capacity for growth within all of us and sometimes we need some help in figuring out how to get there. I believe people can heal by entering a trusting relationship and gaining insight into their lives. By understanding how we approach ourselves, others and the world around us, we can allow the space to make practical changes in our lives.
