Sherri Rebman, M.A., R.C.C.

Sherri has been a professional Clinical and School Counsellor since 2000. She also has 30 years of experience as an Educator, Administrator, Faculty Associate, Behaviour Consultant, High Risk/Threat/Suicide Specialist, Researcher and Counselling Supervisor. She has had opportunities to be of service in numerous capacities across various communities within BC, government, police agencies, probation, through private practice and consulting; and in a wide range of roles within our education system from Kindergarten to Post Secondary. She has served as an Adjunct Professor and Counselling Practicum Supervisor with UVIC’s Master’s program; as well as taught various courses in VCC’s Counselling Programs including Introduction to Counselling Skills; Counselling Theory; Assessment, Mental Health and Referral. Her breadth of teaching and clinical experience crosses the life span, including work with vulnerable populations. Sherri brings a deep and working understanding of mental health and wellness, particularly in the areas of trauma, traumatic stress, grief, loss, anxiety and depression. Throughout her career she has worked across various school districts in B.C. developing safety protocols, in particular around suicide risk. As a highly experienced specialist in Social Emotional Learning (SEL), self regulation, mindfulness, school and risk assessment, she has had the privilege of working extensively with children, youth, adults and parents; supporting and
assisting with many of life’s difficulties, including behavioural challenges, learning disabilities, mental and systemic wellness, school placement and life transitions.
