Film Screening: Indian Horse

Virtual Event: Watch the film Indian Horse

As part of honouring Truth & Reconciliation Week, CityU is providing access to the film Indian Horse to the CityU community. Based on the award-winning novel by Richard Wagamese, the film tells the story of an 8-year-old boy taken from his Ojibway family to a notorious Catholic Residential School and his journey to beginning the process of healing.

When?

The Film will be available for free streaming through the CityU library from October 13th to 24th.

You can view the film any time between October 13th and 24th. Registration is required to receive the login for the film, click here to register through the library calendar.

Please be advised this film depicts the dark history of residential schools in Canada and has scenes of violence and abuse, take care while viewing. 

Virtual Conversations:

This is a difficult film that deserves a space for reflection and conversation. Two virtual conversations will be held to discuss and process the film. You are invited to attend one (or both) of the conversations.
