This workshop series, offered in partnership with The Federation of Community Services of BC, is a comprehensive course that will provide participants the opportunity to explore contemporary and traditional methods of performance management, how to select most effective approach for their organizational context, identify the barriers to effective performance or lack of engagement (and how to address those barriers), and boost performance through employee empowerment, motivation, and implementing effective reward mechanisms.
Participants will learn how to identify determinants of individual performance, design and conduct an effective performance feedback session, and promote a two-way communication system to clarify expectations about roles and accountabilities, communicate functional and organizational goals, and provide regular performance feedback and continuous coaching.
This workshop is limited to 25 participants.
Successful applicants will receive a confirmation email with a URL link and password where they can register for the course and pay the $29.95 registration fee. (The rest of the workshop costs have been paid for by the Community Social Services Training Fund.)
This application process is required due to the workshop limit of 25 participants. This will also allow us to ensure geographic and rural/urban equity among participants. (A waitlist will be created and used as necessary.)
This four-part workshop series will take place in 3-hour virtual synchronous seminars over a four-week period. Attendance in all four classes is required for certificate completion.
