Ann Davis Transition Society is seeking a Children’s Art and Play Counsellor for our Children’s/Youth Counselling Program. The Counsellor is responsible for providing play and art therapy services to children between the ages of 2-12 who have experienced and/or witnessed domestic violence. The incumbent assesses client and/or family for psychosocial needs. The counsellor provides individual sessions based on clinical needs, performs psychosocial assessments, clinical formulations, and case management of clients, in accordance with patient needs as defined in the treatment plan. The position also facilitates the children’s portion of Children In Between, Children Who Witness Abuse plus parenting programs, must be willing to take the Connect Parenting Course. Fully participates as Children’s Counsellor and member of multidisciplinary team. Performs other duties as assigned. Reports to the Senior Clinician and Executive Director.
