Music is everywhere in our lives. This three-day course takes an in-depth look at psychotherapy through the lens of musical expression and introduces an approach called Archetypal Music Psychotherapy (AMP). Through combining a wide range of clinical narratives with psychodynamic theory and technique, we will explore how to integrate the most effective aspects of music-centered psychotherapy into the work that you do.
This certificate course is taught by Joel Kroeker, DAPsych, MA, MMT. Joel is a Swiss-trained Jungian psychoanalyst, musician and writer based in Victoria. Drawing on over 20 years of diverse experience Joel has trained thousands of international practitioners in his original modality of Archetypal Music Psychotherapy across North and South America and parts of Europe. Kroeker is also an award winning international recording artist who offers a range of online courses in the field of music-centred psychotherapy.
After giving a TEDx talk on this same topic, he published his new book: JUNGIAN MUSIC PSYCHOTHERAPY: HEN PSYCHE SINGS (2019) Routledge.
