Organizational Development Consultant

Position Description:

Working in a self-directed, client-focused and collaborative environment, the Organizational Development (OD) Consultant is responsible for being an “intentional catalyst for change that maximizes Covenant Health’s capacity to benefit those we serve”. The OD Consultant works directly with leaders and teams to strengthen our mission-inspired culture and support the achievement of our strategic objectives through three service streams: Change & Transition Management, Team Development and Leadership Development. As per the Code of Conduct, the OD Consultant provides these services in a manner that upholds the vision, mission, values and ethical traditions of Covenant Health. This position practices timely disclosure of any actual, potential or perceived conflicts of interest that may compromise professional duties and/or the reputation of Covenant Health and effectively manages such conflicts when they arise.

Required Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Organizational Development, Business, Human Resources, Leadership or Organizational Psychology is preferred. A combination of education and experience may be considered. Certification in Change & Transition Management, and/or Project Management, Executive Coaching and/or Personality Assessment Administration (Personality Dimensions or MBTI) Formal training in leadership development approaches, group facilitation and organizational effectiveness and/or 3 – 5 years’ experience providing organizational development and internal consultation and facilitation in a complex organization.

Sound ability to successfully lead significant organization-wide initiatives. Solid business acumen and ability to think strategically. Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external partners. To be successful in this role the Organizational Development Consultant must be: Comfortable with a high degree of ambiguity. Comfortable working with diverse stakeholders with diverse backgrounds in a highly confidential environment requiring tact, diplomacy and discretion. Adept at building and maintaining an extensive network of strong relationships. Willing to accommodate flexible hours of work. Excellent customer service orientation and strong ability to develop partnerships. Ability to objectively balance client and organizational needs. Proven critical thinking and problem solving abilities. Proven ability to balance multiple projects and diverse workload. Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Ability to travel as required.
