Our participation at BCSCA Conference

The BC School Counsellors Association (BCSCA) conference took place October 20th and 21st at the Westin Bayshore Hotel in Vancouver. Virtual sessions were also available, increasing accessibility for all. This year’s theme was Hope and the conference was well attended by school counsellors across the province. Many of City University’s current M.Ed. in School Counselling students were able to attend, adding to their professional development toolkit. Representatives from the M.Ed. School Counselling program were present throughout the conference to meet current and potential students, and to share information about the program. CityU M.Ed. Director (Maria Stella) and Associate Director (Lisa Porter) hosted a session on Self-Care and Self-Reflection, and faculty member (Lisa Baylis) offered a Saturday retreat in Stanley Park. All sessions offered by City U were full, and it was a wonderful opportunity to connect with colleagues and future students. Thank you to the BCSCA for hosting a successful and exciting conference!
