Help-Line Services
Need help regarding community, government or social services in B.C.? bc211 is a Vancouver-based nonprofit organization that specializes in providing information and referral about these issues. Their help line servicesinclude 211, the Alcohol and Drug Information and Referral Service (ADIRS), the Problem Gambling Help Line, VictimLink BC, and the Youth Against Violence Line. They provide Chat, Call (dial 2-1-1), TTY (Access for the deaf/hard of hearing community at 604-875-0885) and Text (Text the name of your city to 2-1-1) services to people in Vancouver Island/Gulf Islands and in the Metro Vancouver, Fraser Valley, Squamish-Lillooet, and Sunshine Coast regional districts. All services are free and confidential.

Bounce Back: For Adults and Youth
Bounce Back is a program that focuses on CBT (cognitive behaviour therapy) based skills and it supports thousands of user annually through low mood, anxiety, stress and depression. Bounce Back® teaches effective skills to help individuals (aged 15+) overcome symptoms of mild to moderate depression or anxiety, and improve their mental health. It is available for free across BC and regions of Ontario and Manitoba. Bounce Back offers three forms of help:
The video offers tips on managing mood, sleeping better, building confidence, increasing activity, problem solving and healthy living. The video is available online or in DVD format and is offered in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
Bounce Back Coaching
Bounce Back Coaching is a customized series of workbooks with 4-6 coaching sessions that can be delivered by phone or video conference. The workbooks are available in English, French, Cantonese, or Punjabi. A doctor’s referral is required.
Bounce Back online is an independent, self-guided online program with access to video modules, e-books and worksheets.
