We’re thrilled to continue our series of talks on ethics and sustainability in business this fall, with our third presentation featuring Staffan Rydin. This series is presented in partnership with our Bachelor of Management (BAM) undergrad degree completion program, which focuses on socially and environmentally responsible management. The BAM program as an extension of our values and community approach already ingrained in our successful Master of Education and Master of Counselling programs. The Sustainability Series is a further extension of that approach.

“Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself.”
– Leo Tolstoy
Why are we collectively creating results no one wants? Why, despite our best efforts, are we not able to contribute more meaningfully to the creation of a sustainable economy?
The answer is that we are all limited by the inner blind spots and restrictive beliefs that guide our decisions and interactions every day. This is what Einstein meant when he asserted that we can’t solve our problems with the same thinking that created them.
The inconvenient truth is that if you wish to change the world through inspiring and inspired leadership, you must first change yourself. This truth is also the key to reaching new levels of personal freedom and to transforming the way you live and work.
Conscious Leadership is a crucial element in the sustainable economy: without it, our world will continue to stagnate in old ways of thinking. Join me in exploring the three inner splits and core myths, and how you transform them (and yourself!) and become a Conscious Leader.
“Be the change you want to see.”
– Mahatma Gandhi
