CityU in Canada, has been working diligently with respective provincial health authority guidelines and requirements to ensure a safe return to campus for all students, faculty and staff. Vaccinations and mask wearing requirements are determined and directed by the provincial health authorities and are subject to change.
All students, faculty and staff are required to wear masks in common areas and classrooms at all CityU in Canada campuses. As a private post-secondary institution, CityU has not yet received approval to require proof of vaccination. Therefore, vaccinations are not yet required to attend university activities.
CityU strongly supports a vaccination requirement and we believe that proof of vaccination may be mandated at any time. Therefore, we strongly encourage all students, faculty and staff to get their vaccinations to keep themselves and others safe.
Should you require medical accommodations, or support specific to your individual needs, please reach out to your local program director to discuss an appropriate and feasible plan.
In anticipation of evolving rules, CityU will be inviting students, faculty and staff to provide voluntary and confidential disclosure of vaccination status. Details and further instructions will be released prior to the beginning of the fall quarter.
CityU in Canada will provide updates concerning changes in a timely and accurate manner. Our primary concern is the safety of all students, faculty and staff. As we approach the start of the fall quarter we ask that you embrace all in the CityU learning community with a spirit of generosity, kindness and patience.
It’s been a long time and CityU in Canada faculty and staff are excited to welcome students safely onsite this fall!
