(Edmonton and Calgary): In our Saturday Cohorts, classes are held in-person every Saturday during the day with a lunch break during the Fall, Winter and Spring Quarters. Each term is 12 weeks long. Classes are typically held for 10 out of the 12 Saturdays in the term. During the Summer Quarter there is an intensive where you would attend classes on both Saturdays and Sundays for the month of July. Then you would enjoy a break for the rest of the Summer Quarter. (August and September).
(Edmonton and Calgary): The Mixed-Mode format combines online learning with two quarterly in-class residencies in downtown Edmonton or Calgary. It’s an ideal learning format if you cannot commit to every Saturday, or have a busy lifestyle. This cohort provides flexibility within a structured program if you are a disciplined, self-motivated learner. You will engage in meaningful online discussion board exchanges with your fellow student community and faculty, while also enjoying the in-person weekend residencies that occur twice every 12 week period.
Virtual Weekend Cohort (Available nationwide, based out of Alberta): Our Virtual Cohort holds classes by video-conferencing on Weekend mornings. Students typically attend class for 10 out of the 12 Saturdays in the Quarter. This is a convenient learning format if you enjoy the flexibility of real-time, video conference classes. You will meet with your cohort by video conference, and form meaningful relationships just like in our other cohorts, except that you will connect with your colleagues virtually instead of in-person. This is an ideal cohort if you are planning to maintain employment, or have a busy lifestyle. Students in this cohort typically complete the program between 2.5-3 years.
Virtual Weekday Cohort (Available nationwide, based out of Alberta): Our Virtual Cohort holds classes by video-conferencing throughout the week. This is a convenient learning format if you enjoy the flexibility of attending real-time, video conference classes from anywhere in Canada. You will meet with your cohort by video conference, and form meaningful relationships just like in our other cohorts, except that you will connect with your colleagues virtually instead of in-person. This cohort is ideal for students who are able to fully immerse themselves into the program. Due to a heavy course load, it is not recommended for students who plan to maintain employment, or have a busy lifestyle. Due to the immersive experience, most students complete the program through this cohort within 1.5 – 2 years.
Weekday Cohort (Calgary & Virtual): Classes are offered full-days, partial days, and sometimes evenings throughout the week. This method is particularly appropriate for individuals who would like to finish their degree at a faster pace since you will be immersed in the program. It is not typically recommended to maintain employment and attend this cohort since the coursework is more condensed, but you will likely finish your degree between 1.5-2 years by attending this mode.
