Navneet has more than 8 years of experience in teaching and research at higher secondary, college, and university levels. She joined City U Canada as an Associate Faculty in October 2021. She completed her Ph.D. in Education from Panjab University, Chandigarh, and is currently pursuing Provincial Instructor’s Diploma from Canada.
Her experience ranges from working in the education, health, and retail sectors in Canada and she brings real-life experiences and case studies to the classroom for a better understanding of the students. Her teaching philosophy stems from a humanistic approach to learning which endorses that learning is about the development of the person. In today’s day and age when the field of teaching and learning itself has evolved with the concepts such as self-directed learning, andragogy, and transformative learning, it has become possible for individuals to identify their passions and work towards them. The learners can experiment, learn at their own pace to finally identify their interests and figure out a way to work towards those interests to achieve their true potential. She believes that learning is about the development of a person in realizing their own potential and the desire of becoming what one is capable of and that summarizes her teaching philosophy.
She has many research papers to her credit and in 2020 she published a book titled, “Social freedom of Women in India.”
In her free time, she likes reading, maintaining her personal blog: www.churningideas.wordpress.com, photography, exploring places in and around British Columbia, being active on social media, listening to music, and watching movies.
