We are proud part of Private Degree Granting Institution Association ( PDGIA)
With the Master of Counselling from CityU, our students can apply for professional registration to the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association CCPA.
After graduation, students can apply to any to provincial associations:
- BC Association of Clinical Counsellors, BCACC
- The Association of Counselling Therapy of Alberta, ACTA
- College of Alberta Psychologists, CAP
Graduates of our MEd Leadership program go on to expand their educational reach as curriculum leaders, lead teachers, principals, vice-principals, district directors, superintendents, and assistant superintendents. Those who complete our approved program are also candidates for salary upgrade through both Teacher Qualification Service (BC) and Teacher Qualification Service (AB).
Graduates of CityU’s MEd in School Counselling program go on to become school counsellors, district counsellors, or school administrative leaders. Other graduates choose to use their learning to increase their effectiveness in a classroom setting while benefitting from the approved Teacher Qualification Service salary upgrade our program provides.
